Hello,
in case you are wondering why I haven’t posted in the last couple of weeks, it’s because I’m testing out some new ways of posting music I like and would love to share with you. Almost all posts on here are about music from the past that I liked but there is rarely anything new (I have a little rule not to post anything from roughly the last 2 years to mainly avoid copyright problems etc.) but I thought that I’d try something different from the new year on. My idea was to post about newer releases and from time to time give you a dl of some that newer music I feel really passionate about. How does that sound? I will still do requests and such if people feel the need for them.

Summer is almost upon those who live where I do, and this is probably one of the best songs for summer. Frankie Knuckle’s ‘Whistle song’ is one of his more famous works. Back when house music was young and almost every song was something new, this song stood out from the rest. This is no doubt one of the best classics of house music.

The Journey Home

Drexciya, masters of Detroit techno. This is one of my favourites of their work. Kraftwerk influenced techno as far as your ears can hear it, spacy 303 synths and a hint of nostalgia make this record one of the best I have ever listened to.
I’ve been looking of more music to post from my collection but it seems to narrow down to either house, techno or garage house at this point, so, if you want something different send me a mail or comment on this post if you want to request a single/EP.

This seems like the odd track on this EP, for some reason it doesn’t fit in that well with the other tracks.

Dark bass with hard percussion, bleepy synths with a haunting background whisper; dark techno at its finest.

Expect the unexpected with this song. Gameboy theme song style sound with techy beats and uplifting synths.

Last post for this week, I’m off to play at a festival on Friday. Today you’ll get more house music from Joey Jeremiah. His track ‘Beatem up’ was tracklisted by many big producers and djs back in ’99/’00, mostly by the funky house crews that dominated the clubs back then.

This will be my last post for a while and it’s a good one! I’m off to Germany for a couple of weeks on Wednesday and won’t be posting much or anything at all until I’m back, make sure you get your requests in while I’m gone. This is one of the big singles from his ‘Oi oi oi’ album which received great feedback from pretty much everywhere and its sound still influences electronic artists today.

I recently found out about this label and instantly fell in love with the tracks released on it. Timeless house music at its best! This is the first release of many other great house-filled records that will blow you away. Pulling sounds from Chicago to Berlin, San Soda has definitely found his sound in the world of electronic music. All of these songs have a similar vibe to it which differs from each release, one might be funky, the other is deep while another is full of jacking beats and piano stabs. On this release we have a bit of everything: atmospheric pads and playful melodies; soulful vocals and cutting synths; bouncy garage-inspired piano stabs; bass-filled deep house piano pads with tight percussion and much more. This is a great label, listen to all releases if you can!

Most of you might not know Tony, for those that know his music you know what it’s all about. His music should not be overlooked, deep techno with beautiful melodies that can only come from the techno capital Berlin. Check out his releases on Freerange records or the other releases he has on that label for more deep house/techno epicness.
